Ben Yisrael

Sabomnim Ben Yisrael is the founder and Executive Director of Black Hawks Organization. He is also a 5th degree black belt in Taekwondo and a Master instructor. He established BHO as a 501©3 not-for-profit organization in 2000 after having a burden to help inner city kids. He has counseled and/or mentored men, women and children for over 20 years.


Sabomnim Yisrael achieved his 5th Dan (degree) black belt in USAT in 2012 and his 5th Dan (degree) in Kukkiwon in 2015. Sabomnim Ben Yisrael started his first martial arts class called, the “9 Dragons” around the age of 9 and went on to study Wing Chung, Hapkido and Tai Chi. He also secured his first job at a health food store at the age of 10. Since that early age, he has had a passion burning inside him for health/wellness and physical fitness. At the age of 17, He began teaching Taekwondo while studying nutrition and holistic medicine. He has also done personal training in aerobics, strength training, power stretching and cardio.


He has also produced and cast for short and featured films. He also had the opportunity to traveled overseas to visit different countries allowing him to broaden his mind on how other cultures live. His next promotion is for the 6th Dan black belt in Kukkiwon. Sabomnim Ben Yisrael lives in Jacksonville, FL.



Shabat Yisrael

Seong Sang Nim Shabat Yisrael is the Program Director of Black Hawks Organization for the past 2 years. He is also a 1 st degree black belt in Taekwondo and an instructor for the Black Hawks Taekwondo Club. Seong Sang Nim Shabat Yisrael received his Associate of Arts degree in Biomedical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Botany from Florida State College at Jacksonville in 2012.


He is currently attending Florida State College at Jacksonville working towards his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences. Additionally, Seong Sang Nim Shabat Yisrael achieved his 1 st Dan (degree) black belt in BHTC and Kukkiwon in 2015. Seong Sang Nim Shabat Yisrael started his first Taekwondo class at the age of 13. His other Marital Arts background consist of Tang Soo Do, Jeet Kun Do, Win Chun, Jujitsu, Capoeira and Muay Thai Kick boxing starting at the age of 21. He has also been very active as a community volunteer.


He started with his experience with the Community Involvement with Downtown Vision, FSCJ Department of Diversity and Social Change, Permaculture and Self Sustainability Involvement program. His studies ranges from philosophy to different religions and cultures. Location Jacksonville, FL.



Mrs. Laboone



Mrs. laboone is the Counselor Director for the Black Hawks Organization. She is a Child Protective Investigator at Florida Department of Children and Families, where she works to ensure the safety of children stemming from reports of suspected abuse, neglect or abandonment.


She graduated from Bethune Cookman University with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1999. After graduation, she explored careers in Accounting and Teaching, before obtaining a Masters of Science Degree in Psychology in 2015. She joined The Black Hawks Organization, where she worked as a counselor, life coach and mentor to at risk youth for the past 2 years. Location Florida.

Ms. Kawright 

Ms. Kawright is the Career Service Manager for the Black Hawks Organization. Born and raised in Florida, Ms. Kawright have over 15 years’ experience helping others to grow and develop in a profession capacity.


Ms, Kawright career began in the call center environment in 2001 at West Telecommunications. Throughout the years she have held positions at Publishers Circulation Fulfilment and Navy Federal Credit Union. Ms. Kawright currently use her skills to assist in resume writing and career counseling here at the Black Hawks Organization for the past year. Location Florida.
